Job Summary

The Audio Visual Coordinator assists customers with the operation of electronic audio-visual equipment to ensure successful live programs, conferences, and events. Manage logistics and set-up for scheduled classes, programs, conferences, and events. Provide audio-visual support for large campus-wide events. Provide audio-visual support and solutions for faculty, staff, and clients while on site. Assure that facilities are prepared in advance for group needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide electronic, equipment, technology and audio visual support for faculty, staff and clients
• Set-up and operate audio and video equipment including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, video/teleconferencing systems and other related electronic equipment for meetings
• Test and troubleshoot audio-visual technology for all classes, presentations and events
• Conduct routine testing of in-room and portable A/V equipment and cable management
• Submit work requests utilizing designated software to report equipment problems
• Monitor and coordinate urgent and onsite audio visual requests
• Offer daily updates on audio/visual progress and issues
• Manage set-ups and breakdown of event space, classrooms and/or meeting space
• Diagram and plan room setup arrangements to ensure maximum functionality; rearrange furniture based on specific meeting requirements
• Monitor phone and email to promptly respond to clients and team members requests as needed
• Maintain and update appropriate documents and reports to provide accurate divisional reporting to improve efficiencies
• Manage regular facility operations duties
• Coordinate and monitor daily scheduled classes, programs, conferences and events to include room assignment, room arrangement and audio visual requirements
• Communicate with coordinators and catering teams regarding client expectations and requirements
• Review event forms; consult with coordinators on program, conference and event needs
• Maintain facility digital signage with daily schedule of meetings and promotions
• Manage 25 Live
• Create User Manuals to assist staff in operating equipment
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and restore functionality of A/V equipment
• Provide theatrical lighting, sound, and audiovisual event staging, rigging, and trussing
• Operation of professional digital audio consoles and DMX lighting consoles
• Set up LED and traditional stage lighting, Line Array and prediction software
• Evaluate and provide audio visual, sound and lighting, and electronic needs for users
• Purchase, repair, and maintain audio visual and theatrical lighting equipment.
• Hire, train, and manage student audio/visual team
• Meet with customers to assess needs, provide solution, and complete quote and billing and receivables process
• Provide audio visual and production for A/V requests, including coordination of off-campus subcontracts for supplemental a/v support on large scale events

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

• Three (3) or more years of related work experience
• Demonstrated supervisory experience

Proposed Salary

$17.55 - $21.97 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

• Extensive experience with electronic A/V equipment and web conferences
• Proven conference and space management experience

SKILLS

• Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
• Demonstrated agility with technology including Mac and PC
