Private Events Intern

General Description                                                                                                             
The Private Events Intern will serve as support for the sales team in all aspects of event booking, planning and management. This position is intended for those in college or right out of college with a hospitality degree or strong passion in high end guest service who want to get their feet wet in the events and wedding planning industry.
Key Responsibilities May Include
·        Assist with responding to inquiries, site tours, draw up contracts, and booking events
·        Help with event planning (weddings, nonprofits, corporate), support day of coordination
·        Office work: filing, organizing, research competitors, finding leads, etc.
·        Create marketing material and scripts for magazines, forms, and brochures
·        Help with social media posts
·        Develop unique sales and marketing strategies
Desired Skills and Competencies
•       Pursuing degree in Hospitality Management
•       Experience in luxury guest service: hotel, restaurant, country club, etc.
•       Talented writing skills for marketing, creating documents, and emails
•       Proficient in math for understanding prices and discounts, and calculating beverage totals, etc.
•       Previous leadership roles in work or school
•       Professional clean appearance and wardrobe, social, cheerful, and outgoing
•       Excellent correspondence and punctuality
•       Keen eye for detail and a passion for perfection
